CEMENTITIOUS TILE ADHESIVE WITH IMPROVED ADHESION (C2 TYPE)

Description

TILOSET C2 is a polymer enriched, cementitious tile adhesive for thin bed fixing of ceramics and vitrified tiles in interior or exterior situations, especially those exposed to permanently wet conditions. This versatile, easy-to-handle, polymer modified adhesive is perfect for fixing materials such as marble, stone cladding and brick slips. It provides strong adhesion to cement/sand screeds, to in-situ/pre-cast and aerated concrete, and brickwork. It is also suitable for substrate such as glazed tiles, Vitrified tiles & terrazzo. TILOSET C2 meets the requirement for ISO 13007-1 C2 type.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

New concrete floor and wall surfaces must be a minimum of 28 days old to allow for all standard concrete and block work shrinkage. Surfaces must be sound, free of all contaminants and any material which may inhibit adhesion. If necessary, mechanically prepare concrete substrate to remove contamination, coatings or poorly bonded material. Vacuum to remove all dust and debris deposits.

APPLICATION

Pour 25 Kgs Tiloset C2 to 6 liters of potable water slowly while stirring continuously to get smooth paste. Allow 5 minutes interval and stir again. Apply the paste on prepared surface with 3mm approx. thickness and comb the surface with notched trowel. Place tiles within 10 minutes of mixing and press firmly with twisting movement. Uneven surface may require more than 3mm thickness. Use damp cloth to remove excess paste from tile surface. Do not disturb tiles setting for first 24 hours.
