ACRYLIC BASED ELASTOMERIC WATERPROOF ROOF COATING

ACEGUARD RF is acrylic based elastomeric waterproof roof coating designed with superior UV resistance and elongation properties. This high performance product resists cracking, peeling and mildew, while offering long term durability to life of the roof. It expands and contracts with substrate movement without any development of crack in the coating.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Fresh masonry or concrete substrate must be allowed to cure for at least 14 days. Clean the area from all loose particles, oil, grease and any such deleterious materials. All surface cracks should be filled up with a paste of Cement and ACEGUARD BA mixed in ratio of 2:1 and applied using a trowel to seal the gaps.

APPLICATION

To prepare material for primer coat on cementitious substrate, add 6 liters of potable water to 20 Kg bucket of ACEGUARD RF. Mix it well using a paint stirrer. Apply it using paint brush/roller/spray gun on the substrate. Allow the first coat to cure for 6 to 8 hours. After the primer coat is cured, apply second and third coat of ACEGUARD RF (with 20% dilution) in the direction perpendicular to first coat. To achieve best results, embed waterproofing grade fiberglass mesh in primer coat to reinforce the coating and also to protect crack prone areas like column edges, parapet edges, corners etc.
