GEOTEXTILE
NON WOVEN POLYPROPYLENE GEOTEXTILE
GEOTEXTILE is a specialized non-woven fabric used in civil engineering construction and environmental projects to provide a range of functions related to soil stabilization, drainage, filtration, separation, erosion control and more These fabrics are made by bonding or entangling synthetic polypropylene fibers together without a distinct weaving pattern resulting in a random arrangement of fibers.
Fields of Application
- Reduce settlement of weak soil and stabilization of earth
- Prevent soil particles from migrating into drainage systems
- Protection of external thermal insulation board on roofs or terraces
- Reinforcement of liquid waterproofing membrane on roofs or terraces
- Protection of waterproofing liner as PVC, TPO, LLDPE, or HDPE
- Protection of thin screed and topping concrete layer
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- High permeability allowing water to pass through while retaining soil particles
- Increases life of waterproof coatings and insulation boards
- Isotropic equal strength in all directions for even stress distribution
- Offer reasonable tensile strength and durability
- Effective for drainage and filtration purposes
- Good resistance to punctures and tears
- Available in various weights and thickness
APPLICATION
GEOTEXTILE must be applied on ready surface tightly and properly in order to assure full surface contact without any flexion. GEOTEXTILE has to be overlap underneath the edge for minimum 25 cm to avoid sliding while backfilling process.
