FIBER GLASS REINFORCED CRACK FILLING COMPOUND

ACEFILL XP is a single component, white, fiber reinforced, fast drying and flexible, putty like material used for filling cracks in plastered surfaces for interior and exterior building walls. It is composed of high performance acrylic emulsion, select fillers & additives. ACEFILL XP is 100% shrink-free, water resistant after drying & bonds strongly to cementitious substrates. It gives better aesthetic appeal to surfaces than powder based crack filler and is very much flexible comparatively

Fields of Application

• Any interior and exterior plastered masonry walls with cracks up to 10 mm width
• For waterproofing and sealing of cracks up to 10 mm width prior to waterproofing

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Surface must be free from dust, oil, grease, and loose particles, etc. moisten the surface before ACEFILL XP paste. To ensure good adhesion of ACEFILL XP Paste to the surface, use a chisel/cutter to open and widen the cracks to form a 'V-shaped groove. Fine hairline cracks must be widened up to 2 mm minimum and then filled. For filling paste on the internal surfaces, existing POP or painter’s putty must be removed till plaster surface is exposed.

APPLICATION

Moist the surface before applying ACEFILL XP Crack Filler Paste. Apply the ACEFILL XP Paste on the cracks; press it properly to fill the cracks using spatula or putty knife and level it with the surface. Make sure cracks filled properly without any cavities or air bubbles. Allow it to dry for 2-3 hours then apply another coat of Crack Filler Paste to fill the gap properly. Once it is fully dry, after 12 hours, POP or wall putty can be applied. Do not use for the cracks greater than 10 mm wide. Not recommended for the cracks in structural members, expansion joints & separation gaps.
