PRIMEBOND

EFFLORESCENCE RESISTANCE PENETRATING PRIMER

PRIMEBOND is an acrylic based efflorescence resistant primer recommended for protection of exterior walls in coastal areas or region getting good rainfall. The primer is applied over exterior & interior building walls and roofs before application of waterproof coatings. It is very effective in preventive efflorescence to maintain long term aesthetics of the wall. PRIMEBOND incorporates specialized anti-fungal additives to prevent mildew growth in high humidity conditions.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Surface to be painted should be free from grease, dirt, dust, mildew or any kind of deleterious material. All surface imperfections should be vertically leveled with Cement Plaster. Any paint on the wall has to be stripped off using 100# sandpaper. Surface cracks up to 5mm should be filled up with CRACKIPLUG. PATCHSET repair mortar should be used if crack is more than 5 mm.



APPLICATION

New masonry surfaces must be allowed to cure completely for at least 2 weeks. The moisture inside masonry surface should evaporate before primer coat is started. Add 1 part PRIMEBOND to 2 Part water and mix well with paint stirrer until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. Apply one coat of diluted PRIMEBOND on prepared substrate with roller or brush. Let it dry for 3 hours before application of further finishing top coats. Do not apply when the air temperature is below 100C or if there is a threat of rain, fog or dew within 48-72 hours.
