ACEGUARD EW

EXTERIOR ELASTOMERIC WALL WATERPROOF COATING

ACEGUARD EW is a pure acrylic based elastomeric coating recommended for protection of exterior walls in high rainfall prone region. The coating waterproofs the external walls against wind driven rainwater which is a major cause of seepage problem in the building interiors. ACEGUARD EW does not become brittle even after long term exposure to sun and is resistant to chalking and flaking. It is very effective in preventive efflorescence to maintain long term aesthetics of the wall. The coating incorporates specialized anti-fungal additives to prevent mildew growth in high humidity conditions.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Surface to be painted should be free from grease, dirt, dust, mildew or any kind of deleterious material. All surface imperfections should be vertically leveled with Cement Plaster. Any paint on the wall has to be stripped off using 100# sandpaper. Surface cracks up to 5mm should be filled up with CRACKIPLUG. PATCHSET repair mortar should be used if crack is more than 5 mm.

APPLICATION

After the proper surface preparation prime it using PRIMEBOND diluted in 2:1 ratio with water. Apply it as a single coat and let it dry for 12 hours. Stir ACEGUARD EW thoroughly before use. Apply first coat of ACEGUARD EW with 10 % water dilution by volume using suitable paint roller or brush. The second coat is to be applied after 6-8 hours with 10 % water dilution by volume. Do not dilute more than 10% as it will decrease the performance of coating.
