COOL COATING FOR OVERHEAD WATER STORAGE TANKS

AQUALCOOL MAX is a high performance acrylic polyurethane hybrid polymers based cool coating particularly designed for overhead plastic or concrete water tanks to keep the water inside cool even during peak summer months. It forms a seamless protective membrane coating unaffected by adverse weather conditions and extreme temperature fluctuations. The Solar infrared spectrum reflective pigments and controlled stabilized voids created by hollow glass microspheres in coating reflect over 90% of the solar rays from the roof surface. The water is kept cool inside by minimizing absorption of sun rays and maximizing heat rejection.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Clean the substrate and make it free from any dirt or loose particles. Use any common detergent with water to scrub clean the surface. Then rinse it thoroughly with clean water. Apply COOL JAL within an hour when the surface is cleaned. Any surface cracks on concrete tank should be filled up with a paste of Cement and ACEGUARD BA mixed in ratio of 2:1 and applied using a trowel to seal the gaps.

APPLICATION

For concrete tank, dampen the surface before starting the application. Dilute COOL JAL with 25 - 30 % water by weight and apply first coat by brush/roller. It will dry in 2 - 3 hours in normal weather conditions. Apply second and third coat of COOL JAL without any dilution, using brush/roller. For plastic water tank, apply first, second and third coat without any dilution, directly using brush/roller with an interval of 2-3 hours between each coat. Dilution will decrease the performance and life of product and will void warranty conditions.
